The game has been a massive success for SHIFT UP Corporation, which saw it sell like crazy within its first year. But now, it’s the PC players’ turn to get their hands on this Sony exclusive title.

Although the game has done very well for itself, Stellar Blade did not have a soft landing in the gaming industry. The game came under criticism for its over sexualization of its lead female protagonist Eve. The game had a strong marketing campaign, and a well-received demo , however much of the narrative around the game focused on the sexualization of their main character, which did not sit well with the gaming community.
Stellar Blade’s fanbase was divided, with one half wishing for the game to be censored, with the other half wishing for it to be uncensored. The latter group went as far as forming a ‘Free Stellar Blade’, which several thousand gamers signed. Eventually, the developers made an announcement on the game’s X account, stating it will be rolled out uncensored, including the Japanese version.
With their controversies now in the rear-view mirror, SHIFT UP Corporation focusedsed on the release of a PC version. It’s not uncommon for games to not release at the same time. Although a different monster all together, Grand Theft Auto titles never have the same release dates for both the console and PC version. Grand Theft Auto 4 is a game that has never really been a solid experience on the PC, but GTA 5 came out a while after the console release, and has been great for many years.
The answer is yes, you’re going to need a solid-to-good PC if you’re going to want to run Stellar Blade, according to the game’s landing page on Steam. On the RAM alone, you’re going to need 16 GB at a minimum, which means you’re probably going to need more if you want your PC to still run at its absolute best. It sucks that PC gaming is getting to the point where you need to spend a few hundred dollars to run a game, but that’s the risk and reward with PC gaming.
